Sunday September 7th...
Wow what a whirlwind this has been so far! Friday I got to see several collections by the Project Runway contestants and it was really interesting to see how each individual created something completely different. I think my favorite collection was the one by Amanda Valentine. Her designs were sexy, feminine and at the same time, very classy. I like the fact that she incorporated a bold colors and Navajo details into all of her pieces. Now I can't wait to find out who is the winner of this season!
Yesterday, I started out at the Lacoste show and I was blown away by the whole production. I have to admit I went in with low expectations because I didn't know much about the brand besides their signature pieces like their famous polo shirts for example. The show was really upbeat and the collection was fun and fresh. They had sporty items in a great variety of colors and also several beautiful dresses that were perfect for both dressing up, or down, for casual situations. There was one dress in particular I really liked and now I think I may need it in my closet haha.
Later I went to see the Son Jung Wan show and I really liked it as well. Aside from some oversized dresses that only very tall models could probably pull off, I absolutely can see myself wearing quite a few pieces from her SS15 collection. Most of the designs were shinny and sparkly, while still being sexy and elegant. They made me want to party! What else can a girl ask for, right? Even the men's garments had strategically placed touches of shimmery fabrics.
I am really starting to learn a little more about color, texture, and fabrics but most importantly — I'm starting to think these fashion shows are going to be dangerous because I'm going to want to go shopping and buy everything I loved on the runway!
xoxo
