For her Fall/Winter 2015 collection designer Mara Hoffman took inspiration from two sources. "I was inspired by the 'spirit of Europe's wild men' and Luke Skywalker. This spirit assumes a dual personality, crossing the lines between human and animal, and civilization to wilderness," explains Hoffman. The prints and patterns are bold yet soft and neutral. "This collection is about keeping your feet on the ground an, hands in the sky and allowing the force to be with you at all times."

To complement this jedi-inspired collection Hoffman tapped Catwalk by Tigi US Creative Director, Thomas Osborn to create a hair look fit for a Lady Luke Skywalker.

Osborn notes that for most of the model at the show extra hair was used. How much? "We used 3 packs of hair per model; 2 for the braid at the crown and 1 for length."

How-To:

1. Prep the hair with Catwalk by Tigi Bodifying Spray and create a clean, center part from hairline to nape, securing hair into two low ponytails.

2. Use a paddle brush and a bit of Catwalk by Tigi Session Series Work It Hairspray to smooth hair and get the severity of the part.

3. Using pins, secure one extra long pre-made braids (using extensions) just behind the ear and cross over the crown. Repeat with a second pre-made braids in the opposite direction, crossing over the other braid to make an "X" on top of the head.

4. Next, remove elastics from pigtails and begin braiding the ends of the braids into each pony, using a three-strand technique and incorporating wefts of hair into the braids as you go to add length. Secure each side with an elastic, leaving a significant amount of unbraided hair below the elastic.

5. Secure the two braids together, taking care to hide the pins and create the illusion of intertwined braids.

6. Use fingers to pull on pieces of the braids to create an undone texture and set the look with Catwalk by Tigi Session Series Work It Hairspray.
