Miss Universe 2013, Gabriela Isler from Venezuela is traveling around the world working with charities and representing Latinas! On her stop in New York City, we ran into her in the Tents at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week after Carmen Marc Valvo’s 25th Anniversary Runway Show and scooped an exclusive interview with this amazing woman. Read it all below:
What did you think Carmen Marc Valvo’s show this season?
It was really amazing! I loved the different textures the different colors. The swimsuits were so elegant. I loved the royal blues, the grays and the whites.
When you are travelling what is the one beauty essential you always have on you?
Oh my gosh! I can't pick one! I can say in my carry on I have a bunch of items: light make up, a clean towel, and [a bottle of] water. I travel so much that I must read something to keep my mind stimulated.
What book are you reading right now?
I am reading How to Know God by Deepak Chopra. My life is kind of messy so I like to find time to mediate and relax. Anything to keep me peaceful is what I need.
What do you have to save to the young Latina readers?
Keep fighting for your dreams, everything can come true. Look at me, I am from Venezuela, a small country and I am representing my country to the world. Continue working and continue dreaming!
